Blogmas Day 9: Favourite Christmas Memory

Christmas has always been big in my house!

Growing up, we put milk & cookies out for Santa.  We put carrots & water outside for the reindeer.

Waking up to the cookies being eaten & the carrots gnawed on was just so great (yes my dad really did make it look like the reindeer had a snack!).

I think my favourite memory would have to be waking up on Christmas morning (I don't remember how old I was) & there were little paper footprints leading from my room, down the stairs, all the way to the huge stack of gifts waiting for me & my sister in the living room.  The thought that Santa had gone to all that trouble made the whole morning feel so magical!

It is the little details for me that make that special.  The effort my parents went to to make it look like Santa had been!  So amazing.  I have a vague recollection of receiving a letter from Santa one year also (likely my mum writing with her left hand haha) & again, having it feel like Santa had made such an effort made it really special.
